5 Days in the Red Zone – a documentary about the Christchurch Earthquake in New Zealand – screened in Australia on Wednesday night. The earthquake happened at 12:51 pm on the 22nd of February 2011, and killed 185 people. It destroyed huge portions of the city centre.
The documentary followed a rural police team as they were called to Christchurch – one of the country’s biggest cities – to help after the disaster.
I very nearly cried at the end when they found a mother and baby dead inside a crushed car.
This is a very good documentary, and I believe it is on YouTube, if you want to see it.
