This is a controversial one. I’ve read about half of the book so far. Reviews range from the likes of, “This book is evil and should never have been allowed to be published,” to, “This book is absolutely amazing.”
Why the controversy? Well, because the book opens on a scene where the male lead is about to rape the abducted female lead in order to protect her from the more violent men in the gang.
I suppose everyone will walk away with a different opinion of right and wrong with this one, but for me, the premise was the reason I bought the book – I just had to know how the author would handle the theme.
The writing is very good.
When Rachel is abducted by a group of thugs, one man steps in. Zachary wants her for himself, and she has no choice but to trust this stranger to keep her safe. When danger strikes again, Rachel’s body may endure the pain, but will their tenuous bond survive the abuse?
WARNING: This book contains explicit scenes of dubious consent, graphic violence and disturbing situations. Please don’t read this book if that makes you uncomfortable or offends you. For ages 18+ only.
